Whether you're just starting out, looking to refine a specific skill or technique, or eager to expand your horizons, Alex offers drum instruction that caters to any skill level. You can choose from in person drum lessons or online drum lessons, ensuring flexible options for your music education.

Whether it's a single meeting or years of lessons in music education, Alex has benefited from drum instruction with some of the greatest drummers in the world, including: Dave Hawkes, Tim Metz, Matt Garstka (ANIMALS AS LEADERS), Ryan Van Poederooyen (ex- DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT), Adam Janzi (VOLA), and Ray Hearne (HAKEN). 

Drum instruction can be provided either through in person drum lessons or online drum lessons. While in person lessons are always recommended when possible, online options are available for those who cannot attend in person, ensuring that music education continues seamlessly.

In Elk Grove, CA (just outside Sacramento), drum instruction is provided in Alex's home studio, which has been specifically designed as a drum recording room. This space is equipped with state-of-the-art gear, including two drum kits, allowing both the teacher and student to play simultaneously during in-person drum lessons. Additionally, online drum lessons are available for those who prefer a virtual approach to music education.

Having diverse experience in drum instruction allows us to tackle any challenge, whether it's starting from the basics or diving into more complex techniques like polyrhythms, independence, or double bass speed. We offer both in-person drum lessons and online drum lessons, making it easy to learn songs for cover or explore specific styles and genres of music. And it's not just metal! Alex is well-versed in funk, rock, blues, pop, country, and even a bit of Latin and jazz, ensuring a comprehensive music education.

Lessons are available in 30 minute or 45 minute sessions for drum instruction. Generally, 30 minutes are recommended for younger kids and beginners, while 45 minutes can be more suitable for intermediate or advanced players, or clients traveling from far away for in person drum lessons. 

Every lesson is a 1 on 1 private lesson to ensure that each student's specific needs and learning pace are met, whether through in person drum lessons or online drum lessons, all focused on enhancing their music education.

Our drum instruction sessions occur once a week on the same day and time, ensuring consistency in your music education journey. The prices listed below represent an average monthly rate, typically based on four lessons each month. If a month happens to include a 5th lesson day, you can choose to add it to that month's bill or opt for it to be skipped. 

It's preferred that a student bring their own sticks for the in person drum lessons, but even if you can't, I've got you covered with all the necessary materials for your music education. That's it! Everything you'll need is here ready for you.
